Privacy policy
Effective 1 September 2026. Creel is made by PXL Security LTD, Sofia, Bulgaria.
The short version
Creel collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDK. Your catches, spots, photos, gear and trips are stored on your device.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter: catch records, private spots and their coordinates, photos, gear, trips and settings. We cannot see any of it, and there is no server of ours for it to reach.
Network requests the app makes
To fetch conditions, Creel makes anonymous requests to Apple WeatherKit and to the public NOAA tides service. These requests contain coordinates for the forecast and no identifier tying them to you beyond what any network request carries. Moon phase and feeding windows are computed on the device with no network at all.
Optional iCloud sync
If you turn on iCloud sync, your logbook is stored in your own private iCloud database, operated by Apple under your Apple Account. PXL Security cannot read it. The switch is off by default.
Location
Creel asks for while-in-use location to pin catches and spots and to fetch local conditions. Location is never transmitted to us and never used for anything else.
Purchases
Creel Pro is processed by Apple. We receive no payment details.
